We were hired to provide motion control services on this test shoot. Julian Hermannsen operated the Milo motion control rig.
This was a test to check the feasibility of stereoscopic shooting with inanimate objects (i.e. product shots) using only one camera. To achieve this, we shot the left eye image and then modified the move for the right eye and then ran it again. And it worked like a charm.
But even without the stereo, the shot is interesting to showcase how much a motorized rotation plate in combination with a motion control rig can expand the possibilities of moves for product shots - even when you're shooting with a snorkel in macro.
